Since 2004 Colin Green has been the owner and managing director of QROS Ltd a company that specializes in developing and manufacturing rapid measurement technologies for environmental applications. The QED HC-1 for petroleum hydrocarbon detection is a multi award winning analyser designed by Colin.
Colin has degrees in chemistry and pharmacology. In previous roles he was a research scientist with the NHS in Nuclear Medicine developing antibody based rapid diagnostic techniques for human disease, worked for Glaxo and Critikon in marketing and clinical research roles and Geochem Ltd, a commercial environmental analytical laboratory as the marketing manager.
In 1994 he joined Ensys Inc a US based startup that pioneered the development of immunoassay based analysis methods for the rapid detection of environmental pollutants. As the technical director he was involved in method and product development as well as business development. In 2000 he joined MTI pty an Australian startup that developed electrochemical methods for detecting toxic heavy metals in soil and water. He managed the technical design and manufacturing teams in Australia and also provided business development skills throughout Europe and the US.
Colin has extensive experience in the design and production of several rapid measurement technologies for environmental applications. This together with many years’ experience working in a commercial environmental laboratory brings together a unique skill set and understanding of chemical analysis in the environmental industry.
